The Belfast Soundwalks App was a geolocation app developed at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen’s University Belfast, between March and August 2013 and in collaboration with the the Belfast City Council. The project was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Funds.
The Belfast Soundwalks project presented a unique sonic exploration of the city based on site-specific walks that revealed and reinvented Belfast.
The app was an umbrella project that included ten individual apps developed by sound artists and composers.
